Oh yes, the Humbrechts have been around for a while.
1619 isn’t a batch number — it’s the year the whole story began.
More than 400 years of passion and know-how passed down from generation to generation. Respect.
Today, it’s Nicolas and Maxime, the two brothers of the 13ᵗʰ generation, running the 8-hectare estate in Gueberschwihr.
Always backed by Sylvie and Claude, their parents, they carry on the family story with their own touch: biodynamics, natural wines, and above all... pure pleasure.
Their secret? Wines that are honest, modern, generous and bold — with a special shout-out to the Gewurz Nature, our personal favorite!
A passionate (and fascinating) family that proves one thing: after four centuries, you can still have a good bit of madness… and a whole lot of energy!
And between us, I used to play against them on the basketball court when we were kids — let’s just say we get along much better now for the third half!
