Today, “entrepreneur” sounds dreamy. People think it’s all about freedom, success, and LinkedIn selfies with coffee mugs and motivational quotes. But the truth is: entrepreneurship is a lot of work. And when you’re young, it’s even tougher: you have to prove you’re serious, that you belong, and that you’re not just a dreamer with a fuzzy idea.

And don’t think you need to be loaded to start. You can start with next to nothing, if you’ve got drive, time, ears open, a bit of luck… and above all: hard work. And most of all, surround yourself with good people.
o fund my project, I had to haul wood in the vineyards, work with local farmers, and help out in a producers’ store. Not exactly the classic startup path, but it taught me good old-fashioned common sense. I learned from folks who love the land, who do things their way—with pride and heart. No better school than that to learn what it means to wake up every morning and push your project forward.
And above all: believe in it, big time. If you don’t believe in your project, no one else will.
